Machining and engraving a Podium
Machining a podium designed in Cabinet Vision Solid with surface engravings imported from Alphacam. Notice how Planit's S2M Center allows for linked part outlines, or bridging, whereby the tool path moves from one part to another at their closest points on the nest, instead of having to cut each part out individually. This allows for only one lead in and one lead out per sheet, saving a tremendous amount of time per cycle (at least 20%) and minimizing tool wear. And, as opposed to common line cutting which does not take into account the unique cutting rotation of the tool, ensures that quality edges are maintained on every part.
